Reflections from Race for the Cure 2013

During the early and rainy hours of this past Sunday morning, September 15, the SFA team completed our second annual Race for the Cure run benefiting breast cancer research. We joined the thousands of men, women and children who walked or ran to forward research toward a cure, and colored the race path pink with hope. Clients often share very personal stories during meetings, and it seems many clients/friends, and family are affected by this disease.

With a culmination of office contributions behind us, adding to the nearly $2.5 million raised that will be dispersed to local hospitals, education and support areas, and cancer treatment centers of all types, we took to the road.

As we ran, we reflected. As a firm we have sent sympathy flowers and cards, our sentiments resulting from loss from this disease. It is important to us as a firm to feel as if we are contributing to the fight for a cure.

We are committed to this cause, even the 5.5 mile part, because we want to send birthday and anniversary cards and flowers.
