Joining Security First Advisors in 1999, Stacy connected with the culture, integrity, and teamwork that distinguish SFA. Stacy went on to obtain her Certified Financial Planner Designation, CFP® and became a partner of the firm in 2007. Educating, empowering, and helping clients through major life events fuels Stacy’s purpose and passion as a financial planner. The depth of this work leads to long-lasting relationships, and, often, relationships with multiple generations within the same family, which is deeply rewarding to Stacy. Stacy is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Money Quotient community, as well as a Certified Financial Transitionist, CeFT® of the Sudden Money Institute.

Stacy’s expertise is in life events such as career change, retirement transition, losing a loved one, managing an inheritance, and selling a business. Whether planned or unexpected, a major life change is often overwhelming and stressful. Through her specialized training and experience, Stacy provides choices and helps prioritize them and, ultimately, creates a plan to navigate that change. Understanding client’s values and priorities, educating on choices and the impacts, and acting as a sounding board are all components of a successful life transition.

A third-generation small business owner, Stacy was raised in a culture of working hard, setting goals, and creating a plan to achieve them. That culture and work ethic has carried over to all areas of her personal and professional life.

Stacy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Seattle Pacific University. In addition to graduating with honors on a three-year track, she was a member of the SPU women’s basketball team that made their first Elite 8 national tournament appearance. Born and raised in the Northwest, Stacy is a sports and outdoors enthusiast. Teresa (Teri) Meyer, CFA®

Teri joined Security First Advisors as an Investment Advisor on July 1, 2017. Earlier, she had been working for more than six years as a Senior VP, Portfolio Manager at U.S. Trust, where she managed $525 million in client assets represented by private clients, irrevocable trusts and private foundations. This involved her ongoing process of evaluating unique client circumstances and managing all aspects of the customized investment decision-making on their behalf.

Teri brings an unusual expertise to the table from her 16-year history of institutional equity research and sales at investment banking firms. Having worked with some of the most prominent equity specialists in the country, Teri fostered an exceptional perspective of how financial markets operate. Overall, having more than 30 years dedicated to wealth management and equity research helped her forge a skill set well-suited to working with clients here at Security First Advisors.

She earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 1989 and later held the NASD Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses while working at Black & Company and D. A. Davidson & Co. before joining U.S. Trust in 2010. In 2014, her dedication and performance in building client relationships as a Portfolio Manager was recognized with the President’s Award at U.S. Trust. Teri is also a former member of the Board of Directors for the Portland Society of Financial Analysts, and a past member of their Investment Committee as well.

Early on, Teri decided to build on the experience of working with high net worth families in a large private banking and trust environment, and recently switched gears to an independent and more personal venue. She is now able to focus on the appropriate balance of how to best serve clients.

She enjoys learning a client’s “story” by being an active listener (which is a refined skill) and truly understanding how someone’s values, goals, and risk appetite evolves over time. Teri believes it is rewarding to be a team member in a client’s life journey and provide the proper perspective on financial issues. She also considers it an honor to educate and coach them along the way to make choices which enable them to achieve their definition of success.

Teri considers herself a true Oregon native, having been raised in the Portland area. She earned her B.S. degree in Economics, with honors, from Lewis & Clark College in 1984 and received the A.B. Smith Memorial Scholarship. She also served as a visiting lecturer in Economics at Lewis & Clark College in 1989. As for personal pursuits, she likes to be active –  cycling, swimming, and gardening. If the weather isn’t cooperating, Teri enjoys cooking for family and friends, reading a good novel or listening to music (having departed from the path of a music major). After raising two sons, she has also been active in helping raise funds for the Children’s Center, a child abuse intervention center serving Clackamas County – in response to how vulnerable children are in their own backyard.

Having been in customer service for ten years, and financial services for four years, he became intrigued by the world of financial planning by watching his father as he was growing up. Kameron said that his father had a passion and a connection with people that he always envied and wanted to emulate. In watching him do business, Kameron learned a lot about how he would like to help people work their way through the labyrinth that can be financial management.

He also wanted to work with his dad, one of the founding partners at SFA and has found him to be a wonderful example and mentor for his future work life. Kameron loves helping people work through complicated problems and situations, and finds it highly rewarding to see the relief on people’s faces and the light of understanding light up behind their eyes when financial challenges are solved. Through their family garden, they have close ties with the local food banks and the elderly food assistance programs with their children’s school. Their church is also very involved with Oregon DHS, and Kameron and his wife are particularly passionate about supporting children in sensitive situations.
